Marathon Training Run  

Directions:
The start is on A1A 1/2 mile north of Hillsboro Blvd. Exit I-95 at Hillsboro Blvd., go east to A1A, then go north on A1A 1/2 mile to the starting line. The start is just north of the pier.

Parking:
There is no parking available at the pavilion but metered parking for $1.25 per hour is available near by.  Free parking is available at The Cove parking lot which is located on Hillsboro and the Intracoastal on the south side of Hillsboro. It is approximately a .7 mile walk or warm-up jog to the pavilion.

This event is the kick off for our marathon training group that will be running / walking the A1A Marathon, Fort Lauderdale, FL. If you are planning to train or race the A1A Marathon in February, you can't find a more prodigious and historic route than that of Florida's State Road, A1A.

Caressing the gentle shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Fort Lauderdale, A1A is a Mecca for satisfied sun seekers. This year's A1A Marathon and Half Marathon promises to be a tour of Fort Lauderdale's beach front culture while featuring local bands, cheering squads and supporting fans from the surrounding community. This is one of the flattest, fastest marathon courses you can find. The A1A Marathon is USATF Sanctioned and Certified and could be your best course to help you qualify for Boston!
