| The Greater Fort Lauderdale Road Runners was organized on September 17,
1972 to promote running for health and exercise in Broward County, Florida.
The Club sponsors events such as fun runs, group training runs, social
get togethers and major races throughout the year. The Club and its activities
are open to all, regardless of age, sex or athletic ability.
Membership in the Greater Fort Lauderdale Road Runners Club is good for one year beginning with the date your
application is received and is renewable annually on that date thereafter. You may now join the club by registering
online.
The GFLRRC is a member of the Florida USA Track and Field and operations are within its guidelines.
The GFLRRC is also one of the original members of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), and is recognized
in the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
The GFLRRC publishes a newsletter monthly to keep its members informed on the running scene in the area. From
the beginning runner to the seasoned veteran, the Club addresses the varied needs of it's members. In addition,
members receive discounts at various area merchants as well as receiving a monthly newsletter designed to keep
them informed of the running scene in the area.
Club Board of Directors Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month.
